Gabrielle’s passion is to help others feel grounded, seen, and safe. As someone who is diagnosed with both bipolar II and panic disorder, she’s able to understand and empathize with those who are too battling mental illness. After all, it was her own diagnosis that brought her to the mat! Falling in love with Yin Yoga in particular, Gabrielle decided to get certified. She wanted to spread the magic of yoga and empower those struggling around her. Eager to learn more, Gabrielle invested her time and energy in multiple yoga teacher trainings. Specializing in Yin and Trauma Informed Yoga, Gabrielle is now a 500 HR Yoga Teacher. Since then, she has taught at numerous studios/hotels including the St. Regis and Flux Yoga Studio in Miami, FL.
Regular yoga, meditation and breathing practices are all tools we can use to significantly reduce and control anxiety. General Anxiety and Panic disorder affects over 6 million adults in the US, with women being twice as likely to be affected as men. When left unchecked, anxiety can seriously affect our quality of life as well as our mindset. It can cause stress, depression and even physical illness. Mostly, it prevents us from living our best lives. Yoga puts an emphasis on fostering the mind-body connection, which is important for people to heal. The mind can want something, but the body can still be bracing in hyper-vigilance. It's essential for full holistic healing to involve mind, body and soul. In a safe space, you will learn how to manipulate and control your breath, regulate your central nervous system and find your calm.
